Integrating an existing two-story structure into the design, this residence seeks to engage the street and reinvigorate this corner in Fishtown. Since the existing structure occupies the entire lot, the design seeks to create as much outdoor space within the structure as possible. The ground floor includes a live/work space and guest rooms. The second floor becomes the primary living space. The third floor is the master suite including a sitting room connected to the deck overlooking the street below. Exterior finishes include brick demarcating the existing structure, cement board demarcating the new, and ship lap cedar accents.
